Setup and Configuration
Changing Frequency
The pager's frequency is set by a crystal. You will need to get a custom crystal cut for your frequency.
Crystal
The UHF Advisor pager was configured to work on the DAPNET(https://hampager.de/#/) frequency of 439.9875 MHz.
The custom crystal used was sourced from KRYSTALY, Hradec Králové, a.s. (https://www.krystaly.cz). To achive the frequency of 439.9875 MHz, a crystal of 49.37634375 MHz was used. This is a 3rd overtone series resonant crystal. The holder is UM-1.

Programming Software
Programming software is required to set things that impact the pager operation, including setting the CAP code. I was able to find the software archived here: https://web.archive.org/web/20090529000459/http://www.hackcanada.com/blackcrawl/cell/pager/mot.html
Serial Communication
The pager uses 3.3V TTL 9600 baud 8N1 serial to communicate with the programming software.
