Tradecraft

Reverse Engineering is learned mostly by doing and through mentorship rather than coursework. It depends on tool fluency, hand skills (soldering, decapping, probing) and software savvy. Much of the knowledge is unspoken/undocumented and either learned through the school of hard knocks or passed person to person. It's is closer to a craft than a discipline.
